Job Description:
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new accounts. This role involves strategic planning, negotiation, and relationship management to secure high-value, multi-year contracts for solutions and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consultative selling and team management.
Duties:
Negotiation and Sales: Plan, facilitate, and conduct multifaceted, extended negotiations for the sale of complex, high-value, multi-year contracts to produce revenue in line with organizational and individual targets and quotas.Consultative Selling: Apply consultative selling skills to develop attractive value propositions for strategic or large, complex opportunities in specific industries or market segments, potentially spanning multiple countries and regions.Customer Relationship Management: Maintain effective relationships with key senior-level decision-makers and influencers to understand customer requirements, match them with the organization's solutions, and close deals.Proposal Development: Utilize advanced product/service knowledge and understanding of the customer's business to develop customized proposals that present creative solutions, successfully selling the organization's capabilities. Revenue Generation: Produce revenue in line with current organizational and individual targets and quotas.Team Management: Manage and be accountable for the performance of a small team of professional associates or supervisors of business support/operation roles.Decision Making: Make decisions guided by policies, resources, and business plans, receiving moderate guidance from the manager.Performance Management: Set employee objectives, conduct performance reviews, and make pay recommendations to ensure team alignment with organizational goals.Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.Sales Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports to track progress and adjust strategies as needed.Customer Engagement: Engage with customers regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and performance.Budget Management: Manage the sales budget effectively to maximize return on investment and control costs.Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.Work in a way that works for you
