Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective sales strategy for the Process Automation Energy Industries division within the India market. You will be responsible for defining, planning, leading, and ensuring the execution of sales strategies to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems, and services. This includes ensuring sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also lead, develop, and coach the sales organization, including other sales managers and specialists, to achieve the sales targets through high performance.The work model for the role is: #LI - OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries division in India. Main stakeholders include key customers, consultants, EPC contractors, and internal sales team.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDeveloping and executing a structured sales strategy to achieve business objectives, including revenue, profitability, and market share growth.•\tIdentifying and pursuing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers, consultants, and EPC contractors.•\tMonitoring market trends, gathering competitive intelligence, and adjusting sales strategies to maintain ABB’s leadership position.•\tDriving sales negotiations and contract management to ensure a balance between customer satisfaction and business profitability.•\tLeading and mentoring the sales team to foster high performance, professional development, and accountability.•\tCoordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution, customer satisfaction, and compliance with ABB’s standards.
Qualifications for the role\tBachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering, with 15+ years of experience in sales within the Oil & Gas, Chemical & Pharma, or Power Industry.\tStrong sales track record, demonstrating the ability to exceed targets and drive business growth.\tExperience using Salesforce and market data analytics to support strategic decision-making.\tProven leadership skills in developing and managing high-performing sales teams.\tStrong technical knowledge of DCS, Safety Systems, SCADA, MES, and Batch Automation.\tExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with proficiency in English.
