Come sell one of the Caribbean's newest luxury gems...Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort and Spa. Compensation: $95,000 to $115,000 per year, plus bonus, Full-Time Flexible as needed
The successful applicant will be responsible for driving revenues by building strong relationships with clients and providing excellent customer service to grow the business. Contribute to the strategic planning, development, and implementation of group sales initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish, enhance, and maintain productive sales relationships with new and existing internal and external customers. Executes brand’s Customer Service Standards and property’s Brand Standards. Conduct site inspections with clients and FAMs. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current, and potential clients. Initiate and follow up on leads. Coordination of group and transient bookings to maximize profits. Assist in the preparation of required reports. Monitor production of all accounts and evaluate trends within the markets. Be familiar with all sales policies and selling techniques with an emphasis on maximizing occupancy, Average Daily Rate (ADR) and Banquet and Catering revenues. Understands the overall market, and the property’s primary target customer and service expectations. Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts. Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients. Travel to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, attend trade shows, and site inspections on island and meet clients if remote-based. Prepare information for, meet with, and entertain clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account. Represent hotel at trade shows. Set up exhibits involving bending, stooping, lifting and reaching overhead. Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff. A four-year college degree or equivalent experience. Three+ years in related position of Hotel Sales. Experience in resort sales and Caribbean preferred. Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook are a must. Experience with Delphi, CVENT and other RFP sites required. Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations. Ability to multi-task, efficient and well organized, and able meet deadlines. Must be able to work under minimal supervisor and remotely. Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational. Good customer service skills. Extensive travel required. Flexibility to work. Must be able to work in Cayman Islands. This position can be US based. Posted February 6, 2025
