THE JOB:
The Sales Experience Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of site inspections and company-hosted special events for the Sales Department, with the goal of securing future group business through function space and food & beverage events.
You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Strategically plan and execute site inspections for Sales Managers & Directors, aimed at securing group business. This includes creating site agendas, communicating with clients and internal departments, offering creative input, and serving as the on-site contact for clients while ensuring adherence to budget based on group qualificationOversee the planning and execution of on-site familiarization trips, collaborating with internal teams, sister properties, and external vendors to highlight the key benefits of MGM Resorts while managing a reasonable budgetManage the department's travel budget and coordinate offsite client events, including securing venues, negotiating vendor contracts, providing creative direction for gifting and décor, and ensuring accurate representation of MGM ResortsProvide strategic input and collaborate with the Corporate Sales COE on company-wide sales initiatives, including sales events, corporate-hosted familiarization trips, tradeshows, conferences, and GSO-hosted client incentive tripsContribute to the research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technologies, and processes to enhance MGM Resorts' competitive position and anticipate evolving customer needs in the dynamic hospitality and gaming industryOffer creative direction in the development of sales presentations, site guides, sales videos, and other marketing materials to ensure proper representation of the assigned propertyOversee gift inventory and processes, including sourcing client gifts, managing inventory, and donating excess items, all while staying within the department's gifting budgetTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceOne (1) year of previous relevant experience in Hospitality, Customer Services or SalesPrevious Sales or Event Planning experience working in a similar hotel/resort settingMarketing or design experience and proficiency in Adobe InDesignAbility to negotiate vendor agreementsExperience with Amadeus, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookPossess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAble to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal formsOrganizational skills to function effectively under time constraints, within established deadlines and attention to detailAble to frequently move freely throughout the convention center, sit for long periods and withstand various activitiesProfessional appearance and demeanorTHE PERKS & BENEFITS:
