Sales Engineer - Mumbai

This Position is responsible for driving Sales growth for HACH brand products in respective territory / region from the Municipal Segement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Achieve monthly sales targets by managing funnel, converting leads to orders, and tracking order bookings and shipments.
+ Identify and develop new business in government departments, municipal corporations, PHEDs, water boards, and consulting firms.
+ Build strong relationships with EPCs, Main Civil Contractors, Electro-Mechanical Contractors, System integrators, Automation System Houses and Project Consultants to track projects at DPR stages.
+ Work closely with End Client, Consultants & Authorised Distributors to have Speck Locing at DPR stages, to identify & track upcoming projects, Live Tender bids & published results, Lead quote to negotiations with EPCs/ System Integrators.
+ Manage funnel progression on CRM (SFDC), prepare proposals, track tender bids, and negotiate quotes to close sales.
+ Monitor government tenders (RFPs/RFQs) and lead the preparation of competitive proposals for water quality measurement analyzer solutions.
+ Work with internal teams to ensure timely, compliant tender responses and close partnerships with consultants for water treatment projects.
+ Establish relationships with key stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and consultants, to influence purchasing decisions.
+ Attend industry events to network, promote the brand, and stay updated on market trends and competition.
+ Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional campaigns for the water sector.
+ Provide technical training and support to distributors, government officials, and EPC O&M teams to ensure proper product use.
+ Coordinate with Customer support, supply chain and service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
+ Regularly track sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends, report to leadership & collaborate for further strat & activity plans.

QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering Graduate / Post Graduate in Science/Business Management working in the field of Direct Sales for Water Treatment & Analysis Solutions.
TRAVEL (REQUIRED ESTIMATED % OF TIME) : 70-80%
REQUIRED EXPEREINCE
+ Minimum 4 – 7 years of Direct sales & business development, preferably in water treatment, water quality monitoring, environmental solutions, or instrumentation in Govt – Public Infrastructure Sectors.
+ In-depth understanding Indian water sector, Govt Depts, Ministries, Administrative Wings, Operations & Management Wings of Municipal Corporations, PHEDs, Municipalities, Urban & Rural Water Bodies etc.
+ Relationships with key-stakeholders from Water Depts, Muni Corps, Consultants, EPCs, Electro-mechanical Contractors, Automation System Houses, C&I partners etc.
+ Understanding and experience in Water Treatment & Analytical instrumentation, Testing Technologies including chemical, biological, and physical water analysis.
+ Familiar to water quality standards, monitoring requirements, and regulations in India.
+ Candidate should be willing to relocate as part of job basis the requirement of business

i. Proficiency in CRM (SFDC), MS Office, and other sales tools.
j. Knowledge of public sector bidding processes, including government tenders and RFPs.
k. Fluent in English and 2 other local languages
l. Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
