Sales Engineer Aftermarket and Installation Services

Sulzer Chemtech Separation Technology (ST, part of Sulzer’s Chemtech division) develops, designs, and produces mass transfer equipment (eg trays, structured packing, gas liquid separators etc.) for separation processes like distillation, absorption, stripping, evaporation and phase separation. Installation of this equipment is also part of our portfolio. We now have an opportunity for a Sales Engineer to support and help to grow our activities in the Iberian territories. Based in our Madrid Sulzer office, you will be responsible to generate profitable sales of Replacement Services (TAS) and Installation Services (TFS) to current and prospective clients in Spain and Portugal. This with the support of our experienced local sales team, by our application specialists at our HQ in Switzerland and Service Centre in the UK. We are looking for a Sales Engineer with experience ideally in the environment of the Renewables, Oil &Gas, Refinery or Chemical market. **Your main tasks and responsibilities:** • Identify a•Identify and generate sales opportunities within prescribed territory for Replacement Services (TAS) and Installation Services (TFS) to grow sales pipeline. • Focus on selling of replacements of Sulzer existing installed base and replacements of competitor installed based for all Mass Transfer Equipment • Focus on selling of Installation Services for customer maintenance events and projects. • Develop relationships with maintenance personnel at key customers, so that Sulzer is considered for any planned and unplanned maintenance work. • Proactively track major plant maintenance and shutdown events and use this information to plan customer visits, calls etc. accordingly. • Develop leads and sales opportunities from prospect to firm enquiry and tender. • Co-ordinate the follow up of tenders, • Lead in client tender clarification meetings and commercial meetings including negotiation on commercial terms and pricing. • Prepare and present accurate sales visit reports and follow up actions. • Stay up to date and support project management in case of challenges in the order execution with customer for strategic projects. **To succeed in this role, you will need:** • To be ideally a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering • Minimum 4 years of sales experience, preferably in a service environment of the Renewables, Oil &Gas, Refinery or Chemical industry • A high level of flexibility, excellent developed organizational, communication, and project management skills • The ability to work independently as well as in a team • To be fluent in both Spanish and English • To be willing to travel mainly within Spain and Portugal and occasionally outside of these countries • To have a valid driver’s license B **What we offer you:** • A competitive salary as well as participation with an attractive annual bonus scheme • This position with potential for future development offers a challenging opportunity within an international environment. • Restaurant tickets. • Permanent contract. • Accident insurance.
