The sales team in Actuation Technologies now need to recruit one sales engineer to be responsible for identify, supervise and pursue Export project opportunities in China to meet organizational goals and objectives.
Improve the flow to achieve success in identified large Export projects for growth target Mentor and support sales teams in implementing standardized Export project pursuit processes. Position is responsible for project pursuit and relationship development of Engineering Contractor (EPC) with particular focus on China. The primary focus is to grow the EPC project business. This position aims to improve Actuation's involvement in order to award EPC project activities. It will achieve this by developing preferential supplier relationships and bringing value to Actuation products. The goal is to increase effectiveness in strategic coverage on EPC project sales pursuit and creates greater success in winning these EPC projects either directly from the EPC or via the valve OEMs that participate globallyIn this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Proactively own the team in major Export project pursuits, develop and complete Export project pursuit strategies to improve Flow wins. Cultivate, build and maintain a positive relationship with the key customers at working/project levels. Own the communication, and agree with local sales force, from project pursuit team structure to cover DI, end user and EPCs for the pursuit Collaborate with other Emerson Process organizations and functions to help resolve problems related to certain major Export projects to ensure overall customer happiness Mentor and assist local sales to use the standard project pursuit process and tools Share project information for x-country project pursuit, and bring standard methodologies from other countries to China Identify, develop and influence preferential position of Actuation products in Automation On-Off valves content with China EPC in their projects. Provide local support and form relationships with EPC, Valve manufacturers, and sales channel. Develop and achieve effectiveness in products value proposition and differentiation message. Who You Are: You promote high visibility of shared contributions to goals. You quickly and significantly take action in constantly evolving, unexpected situations. You actively seek input from pertinent sources to make timely and well-informed decisions. You handle the risk that comes with moving forward when the outcome is not certain. For This Role, You Will Need: Degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering Field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Automation Engineering, is preferred. Shown experience preferably in the process industries Experiences in sales/account management/project management/procurement will be an advantage Good understanding of Export business culture Good English language. Mature personality, positive and innovative. Frequent travelling is required Self-motivated and high sense of ownership Awareness of occupational health and safetyPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Valve and actuator’s working experience and background Strong interpersonal, communication skills Leadership skills. Good commercial knowledge
