In this dynamic position, you will be the go-to technical expert for Trimble’s marine construction and dredging solutions. Your mission will be to understand the unique workflows of our end customers and collaborate with our distribution partners to demonstrate how Trimble’s innovative technologies enhance efficiency and productivity. You’ll bridge the gap between customer needs and tailored solutions, leveraging Trimble’s comprehensive product portfolio to address pain points and optimize workflows.
What You Will Do
Partner with distribution channels to ensure they can effectively quote, install, and commission Trimble solutions.
Provide expert guidance and training to sales and technical staff, improving their ability to deliver value to customers.
Collaborate with Trimble’s training department to develop engaging content that equips our dealers with the knowledge and skills to excel.
What Skills and Experience Should You Bring
Technical Expertise
Experience with Trimble Marine Construction Software or competitive hydrographic surveying or dredging software applications.Strong aptitude in construction and/or survey practices, specifically in the marine and hydrographic surveying environment.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems effectively.Communication and Presentation
Comfortable speaking to large audiences of diverse backgrounds.Ability to articulate the value proposition of Trimble marine dredging and construction solutions to dealers and customers.Strong writing skills, with an emphasis on technical writing.Capable of both presenting and physically demonstrating Trimble marine dredging and construction solutions.Customer and Dealer Support
Strong sense of urgency in addressing customer solutions.Ability to listen to dealers and customers, understanding their needs and providing actionable feedback to Trimble for future product development.Responsible for identifying technical gaps within the distribution channel and creating plans to address them.Experience in providing on-the-job training in an organized and effective manner.Project and Relationship Management
Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across multiple functions, ensuring customer and dealer needs are met.Experience working with end customers to solve challenges by integrating various platforms into singular solutions.Physical and Travel Requirements
Physically capable of working long hours on construction sites.Willingness to travel extensively, with approximately 50% travel expected.Event and Sales Support
Represent Trimble at trade shows and training events throughout the year.Assist the Marine Construction Sales Manager with pre-sales processes to ensure accurate quoting and solution delivery.Ensure distributors are fully equipped to commission and support Trimble Marine Construction solutions.Measures of Success:
Customer and Dealer Impact: High satisfaction ratings from customers and distribution partners, with timely resolution of technical issues and successful adoption of Trimble solutions.
Training and Enablement: Deliver effective training programs that enhance dealer and customer capabilities, ensuring they can independently utilize and support Trimble solutions.
Market Representation and Collaboration: Professional representation at trade shows and events, while fostering strong relationships with internal teams, dealers, and customers to provide actionable insights and feedback.
Technical Expertise and Gap Closure: Proficient troubleshooting, solution deployment, and identification of technical gaps in the distribution channel, paired with actionable plans to address them.
Efficiency and Resource Management: Effective prioritization of tasks, seamless on-site support, and proactive travel engagement to meet objectives and exceed expectations.
