**What is the job about?**
Grundfos Pumps is seeking a Sales Engineer- Data Centers to join our USA/Canada Sales team. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for supporting the relationship building and growing sales in the Data Center Vertical by applying a combination of sales skills and specialized technical know-how. The Engineer will generate interest in Grundfos products and services and directly generate sales based on an in-depth understanding of the Grundfos offering to the data center industry. The Sales Engineer will provide technical and sales support to Data Center and Sales Teams, customers, Grundfos CSSC & Operations, predominantly from the office with occasional Face-to-Face activities. The role will report to the Regional Manager- Data Centers and and will operate on a hybrid schedule out of the Brookshire, Texas facility. Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support now and in the future.
**Your main responsibilities:**
+ Develop a deep understanding of products, applications and solutions relevant to the data center market in the US and Canada.
+ Act as a technical resource for distributors, partners and end users, providing guidance and support in product selection, application engineering, technical and application troubleshooting and sales messaging in the market.
+ Effectively communicate the Grundfos product value proposition to drive data center sales, with close collaboration with the Lead Key Account Manager - Data Centers.
+ Develop and maintain a good understanding of HVAC and control systems in data centers, including new innovations, to be able to recommend the best solutions to customers.
+ Support the achievement of annual sales, profitability and market share growth targets for CBS USA & Canada.
+ Register and support management of opportunities and revenue pipeline in global CRM tool according to company guidelines.
+ Build and maintain mutually beneficial and long-lasting customer relationships as well as strong internal relationships with Sales, CSSC and Operations.
+ Manage new and existing customer accounts to grow data center market share, and increase share of wallet with existing customers.
+ Work with internal stakeholders to provide distributors, partners and end users with the best experience in dealing with Grundfos.
**Your background**
We imagine that you have:
Bachelors of Science Degree in engineering or other technical curriculum is required.
1-3 years of Industrial, Commercial, Municipal sales or equivalent experience. Data center industry experience a strong advantage.
+ Strong technical aptitude, ability to understand and articulate complex technical solutions and concepts.
+ Proven experience in technical sales or sales engineering preferably in the engineered solutions or industrial products industry.
+ Strong understanding of sales strategies, channel management and partner relationships, with ability to build & maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders
+ Understanding of profit and loss accounting and the basic flow of revenue in an organization.
+ Ability to use CRM and business analytics tools
+ Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats and to various levels of customer and management audiences.
+ Ability to travel 5-10%, including overnights and weekends.
