As a Sales Controller, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance, providing strategic insights, and ensuring effective financial management within the sales function. You must be able to quickly process multiple projects and be a confident decision maker. You will collaborate closely with sales leadership, business units, and cross-functional teams to achieve revenue targets and optimize business processes. **What You Will Do:** Strategic Business Partnership: + Key business partner to Commercial SBU GM, Commercial BU GMs, and Americas Sales leadership, collaborating with them to understand business objectives, identify growth opportunities, and align financial strategies with sales goals to execute attainment of AOP goals for revenue, price, and profitability + Partner with Sales to develop, analyze, present, and approve annual customer rebate and incentive programs in alignment with growth objectives + Key business partner to Sales and Marketing to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable revenue and bookings forecasting and conversion of SIOP data to the financial forecast detailing applicable risks and opportunities + Partner with Sales leadership to drive translation of strategic goals and selling strategies into actionable and measurable business plans + Collaborate with Sales on special projects and channel programs, providing financial analysis, recommendations, and decisions + Attend quarterly sales meetings as a key member/partner of the Sales leadership team, communicating results, initiative tracking, price realization, annual operating plan, and incentive programs + Provide management with clear insights into market trends and drivers of revenue + Partner with Sales leadership to develop and execute strategic pricing programs to enhance profitability and growth – including the annual price increase process Financial Planning and Analysis: + Lead the forecasting and planning processes – Long-Range Plan (LRP), Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Forecasts, and Risks & Opportunities (R&O) – for revenue, working closely with Commercial SBU GM, Commercial BU GMs, and Sales team + Gross-to-Net (GTN) forecasting, reporting, and analysis and customer program business case review/approval + Monitor progress against sales targets and adjust strategies as needed + Conduct thorough financial analysis, identifying and communicating business trend comparisons, utilizing business intelligence tools to model predictive revenue outcomes + Analyze the impact of channel, vertical market, and product mix on business profitability and provide recommendations to management on actions to achieve targets + Assist in designing strategies and resource plans to maximize revenue and profitability across multiple channels, vertical markets, and product brands Performance Monitoring and Reporting: + Prepare monthly sales financial review + Monthly communication of financial results to sales management and staff + Lead applicable management reporting preparation for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews + Prepare reporting for bookings and backlog and effectively analyze and communicate trends/implications on results + Manage and administer sales incentive programs, ensuring accurate and timely payments to sales teams + Oversee customer commitment programs, including accruals and payment processes + Identify and execute improvements and digital/lean transformation opportunities in financial processes + Serve as business/finance lead for CRM and business intelligence projects + Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial transactions related to sales operations + Participate in Day +3 monthly performance review calls with regional management and provide analysis based on information communicated in those calls + Maintain strong internal controls in accordance with GAAP, FICAPs, and SOX + Ensure proper accounting treatment of sales related items, including tracking and reconciliation of all program-related accruals + Ensure adherence to limits of authority (LOA) and approval processes and effectively train sales organization on LOA policy and procedures Talent Management: + Lead and develop a team of 2-3 finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback + Mentor, coach, and provide functional leadership to the sales finance staff + Create a collaborative and engaging team environment for your direct reports + Identify opportunities for professional growth and development for team members, promoting a continuous learning environment + Build bench strength and promote talent across the organization + Serve as a role model for Allegion’s values **What You Need to Succeed:** + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field required + Master’s degree preferred + 8-10+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or sales finance roles + Strong leadership, presentation skills, and ability to explain and communicate financial results to management in an understandable and actionable format for decision-making purposes + Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling + Strong data management and business partnership skills a must + Experience in manufacturing or technology industry is desirable + Travel requirements: 4-5 times/year in conjunction with sales conferences (e.g., sales kickoff, Partnership Summit,
