Sales Compensation Admin Rep
What You'll Do We are seeking Sales Compensation Administrative Representatives to join our team in the IBO Pay (Independent Business Owner), PFN/PSI Pay (Principal Securities), and Special Operations Pay (Life Events) positions. In our Sales Compensation area, you’ll provide a wide variety of services to marketers, sales offices, business partners, and department personnel. You'll collaborate with financial professionals and firms, and advocate for the interest of advisors within Principal with a goal of improving producer dedication to the company. These roles require a blend of strong customer service skills, technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and the ability to work effectively across multiple systems to support our advisors, customers, and internal teams. The ideal candidates will be skilled at multitasking, applying tools like Salesforce, Excel, and other internal systems to manage commission-related inquiries and deliver seamless service and support. Who You Are Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred or high school graduate required. 4+ years of experience required. Customer service, financial service industry experience preferred. Experience working in Salesforce and/or similar CRM software is preferred Proficiency in Excel for accurately processing compensation data Ability to balance multiple priorities, willing to meet same day deadlines, and evaluate and improve processes. Exceptional customer services skills required via phone calls and emails. Ability to develop a broad understanding of insurance operations, products and concepts across all lines. Demonstrated ability in computer usage, competence, and proficiency at keyboarding. Potential to build positive relationships with diverse internal and external distribution channels, make quick judgements, and respond to difficult situations that requires tact and discretion. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and multi-tasking skills in a fast paced, changing environment with high accuracy and within established turnaround times. Analytical approach with the ability to troubleshoot, identify issues, and implement solutions. What makes you stand out: The ability to work with advanced Excel functions and macros A basic understanding of accounting principles or commission structures is a plus. Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $18.39 - $30.58 / hour Time Off Program Personal Time Off (PTO) is provided to hourly (non-exempt) employees and provides a set amount of accrued time earned each pay period. Employees can use their PTO for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Pension Eligible Yes Additional Information Work Environments This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements.
