Sales Analyst

The Sales Analyst is primarily responsible for analyzing sales operations to improve revenue and productivity.  In addition, reporting of sales activities to drive accuracy and best practices across the Marmon IEI Inside Sales Team.   

 

Key Responsibilities:  

Inside Sales responsibilities for assigned key accounts.   

Provide weekly reporting of bookings, shipments, backlog and quotes 

Focus on reducing price leakage to include tracking of claims for reduction in sales errors & customer accommodations.  

Using 80/20 best practices, analyze trends and collaborate with Management Team to evaluate performance and product profitability.   

Evaluate rebate plans and track monthly distribution to the team. 

Point of contact for contract and management of submittals to legal through Mpact. 

Maintain accurate rep commissions structure, contracts and ensure accuracy of distributions. 

Keep trach of over the credit limit customers and similarly coordinating responses 

Focusing on AR, coordinating responses, not collecting 

Support Director of Sales Operations by planning and executing meetings and other tasks as needed

Education and Experience Preferred: 

College degree in either Engineering, Marketing, Business, or Operations. Equivalent field experience considered. 

Proven track record of success in sales roles, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity. 

Must have advanced excel skills 

Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools such as dashboards. 

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 

Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving growth. 

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities. 

Experience in wire and cable is highly desirable. 

Travel up to 20% required. 

 

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements: 

Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position working at a computer and performing repetitive motions. 

Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25lbs.  

Ability to collaborate with operations in a manufacturing environment.  

Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite.  

Frequent Domestic and International Travel
