Sales Account Manager for Key Account

Job Description

The Sales Account Manager is responsible to sell the organization's products and/or services to an assigned set of customers or a geographic region. This account assignment may include some accounts with minimal account share or even pure prospects, but the majority of the role is focused on expanding relationships within a Key Account. Responsible for the direct sales process and achieving sales targets. Is in charge of sales expansion and introduces new products and services to existing clients. 

Responsibilities:

Works under direct supervision to perform routine account management activities.Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies utilizing available marketing programs to reach nominated targets.Responsible for retaining long-term customer relationships with established clients. Ensures that clients receive high quality customer service.Maintain post-sale contact with customers in order to facilitate a positive and productive long-term relationship.Serve as the primary contact for the assigned customers. Enhance the company's position and reputation by properly servicing and corresponding with all assigned accounts in a dependable and timely manner.Enhance customer relationship by working closely with customer on the development of targeted solutions and new business opportunities.Prepare and submit sales reports and documentation regarding results, opportunities and challenges in the sales territory. Analyze reports and data to identify revenue and cost containment opportunities.Assist in the implementation and execution of products and services. Consult with customers to understand business issues and goals, and works with customer to develop improved solutions to business needs.Prepare RFPs and RFQs on the accounts managed.Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends , new products, specifications, competitor strengths and weaknesses.Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

QualificationsAble to translate previous work experience in to very good problem-solving skills and appropriately apply proven solutions.Consistently deliver prescribed outcomes in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate guidance.Apply existing processes and procedures to solve problems and may receive guidance for problems that are non-routine.Able to apply very good functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC or other technical tools to complete work assignments.May require knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn specialized software related to the position.Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.Able to understand general business concepts and apply them when communicating with diverse groups of people when completing work assignments.Bachelor's degree in discipline related to function or work with 3 years or more of relevant work experienceSalesforce.com knowledge and usage preferred

Additional Information

This is a salary plus incentive role.  The salary range for this role at the time of hire is $50,000 to $80,000 / year plus incentive.   The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee and the salary may change or decrease over time.   The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and geographic location.
