Safety Intern (Summer 2025)

SUMMARY 

The Safety Intern will provide support to the Safety department by working on a variety of safety related projects while gaining exposure to a variety of functional areas and business segments within the organization. 

 

YOUR IMPACT 

Conduct written program/procedure reviews and develop training curriculums based on these programs. 

Assist with accident investigations and follow-up with required corrective action. 

Develop and/or update safety and health training programs for various business units. 

Provide daily support to the safety department on a variety of safety projects. 

Assist and conduct internal compliance and injury reduction assessments to include follow through. 

Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations on potential improvements. 

Quantify and present safety & health statistics to the management team. 

Support and manage the Safety Management System (SMS) 

All other duties and projects as assigned. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  

Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Occupational Health or related field. 

Willing to travel or relocate to Dodge Center, MN for the Summer of 2025 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Dodge Center, MN) 

 

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS 

Ability to learn new programs quickly while working in a fast-paced work environment. 

Outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential. 

Familiar with manufacturing and safety principles is a plus. 

Ability to work independently when necessary. 

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
