Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and “where applicable” ResponsibleSteelrequirements are followed.Advising on provisions to minimize safety risksEnsure the development, implementation and updating of required written safety and health programs and plansOrganize and conduct safety training plansCollaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issuesIntervene in unsafe activities or operations, coaching and mentoring those involved to eliminate unacceptable risksProcure first aid and medical treatment as needed for injured workersInvestigate incidents collaborating with managers and supervisors determining root cause and improvementsPromotes safety and health awareness through internal company memoranda, newsletters and specific training programsComplete special projects as assignedQualifications:Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or three to five years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceIn-depth knowledge of OSHA guidelines and practicesExperience in reporting and developing policiesStrong verbal, written and analytical skillsCompetent in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and OutlookAble to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as requiredWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements:
This position occasionally requires employee to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Supervisory Responsibility:
