Summary About the Position: Incumbent will serve as a principal safety and occupational health program manager in the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Safety and Occupational Health System. Incumbent will act as an advisor to the Director for safety system program elements and assist the Director by being familiar with the status of projects, priorities, and deadlines of projects. Responsibilities This list is not all-inclusive: Develop and maintain current occupational safety and health (OSH) laws and directives which together constitute policy and programs to reduce accidents and injuries Manage the safety integration in Army training function with the TRADOC Safety Office. Interpret and implement standards and regulations of Department of Labor (DOL-OSHA), Department of Defense, and Department of Army Serve as Command Safety Data Manager directing and managing the systematic compilation and analysis of TRADOC accident data for evaluation and interpretation Program coordinator representing the command on tactical safety, occupational safety and health, and safety integration in Army training matters (i.e. national conferences, preparing congressional and Secretariat inquiries). Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience in or related to safety and occupational health that provided the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, which includes 1) providing guidance and direction to organizations in the interpretation of safety and occupational health legislation, regulations, and standards; 2) providing technical guidance in safety and occupational health programs, hazard abatement, and safety integration; 3) provide guidance to field activities including instructions, publications, letters and reports delineating program requirements, comparative statistics and significant events; AND 4) the ability to communicate orally and written communication.
