As a Customer Support Assistant Manager, you will lead a team of technical expert and ensuring the successful launching of new product and the trouble shooting of the existing product, which is coating products for consumer electronics. You will work in the lab in our CAIC in Zhangjiagang. You will report to S&T Customer Support Senior Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical team to design, create, and test coating product that meet customer requirements and are based on an understanding of chemistry and interactions.
Oversee and mentor team members and technical expert to work on design, including formulation and testing.
Lead the team to fix the short-term and long-term issues with applicators.
Lead the team to make the cost down of existing formula
Work with external and internal raw materials suppliers to incorporate new raw materials and technology into PPG products
Manage projects, including project management, capturing updates, meeting internally and externally, and reporting.
Collaborate with the product development team on project scoping, raw materials selection and formula optimization;
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
At least 8 years of experience with coating formulation (5 years for master’s degree)
Good English skill, fluent English speak and can handle English conference calls
Good collaboration skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented, global environment are important since you will collaborate with local product development team and global technical team
