This role will be based in our Charlotte, NC office.  We offer a hybrid work schedule with 4 days in the office; and 1 day remote where it makes sense to do so.

Responsibilities

As the Regional Vice President (RVP) for the Carolinas territory, you'll be responsible and accountable for strategic and operational activities, associated with the management of the BSIG business and the development of new products and programs, program management underwriting, marketing and communications within region. We'll count on you to:

Develop and ensure effective utilization of monitoring standards to assess financial performance (i.e., line and product profitability analysis, quarterly loss trends, utilization/productivity, etc.)   Develop long and short-term business strategies to position the company to market the proper products, programs and/or services to the right market segment through responsible market analysis and development activities.Collaborates with actuarial, claims, finance& IT to support line of business development and maintenance needs.Perform all staff management functions to support profit, growth and expense management goals.Be fully integrated with corporate underwriting & product team to ensure appropriate product development, communication and training efforts that are consistent with business strategies, are compatible with systems and operational capacity, and are consistent with BSIG’s profit, growth and retention goals.Schedule and maintain audit process for underwriting and ensure proper execution of underwriting best practices.Manage branch submission, quote and bind targets to achieve our financial objectives, optimizing distribution and underwriting resources.Proactive management of our distribution to ensure we are positioned to achieve our financial objectives.Identify niche opportunities by staying close to market conditions, understanding changes in the competitive landscape, and generally being a steward and student of the insurance industry.  This will be demonstrated by having a comprehensive understanding/knowledge of the available distribution plant, knowing where expertise lies and how we can partner with that expertise to grow profitably.Develop annual marketing and business plans to support the achievement of branch annual and five-year objectives.Ensures active visibility in the local market across sales and underwriting, ensuring the market understands our appetite and capabilities – and that we are aggressively positioned for growth. Qualifications

What you need to have:

Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Achievement or working towards industry-accepted professional designations, including but not limited to CPCU, Certified Insurance Counselor, etc.

15+ year’s commercial experience working in an insurance environment required.
