Job Summary:
In this position, you will learn to adequately perform the duties and responsibilities of the Rotor Cell team certified operator occupation.
Essential Functions:
Process rotors through various machining, EDM, and supporting operations in a team-oriented cell.Responsible for maintaining cell inventory.Set up and operate numerically controlled machines and other equipment.Make and verify any necessary corrections to program, set up, tooling and machine settings with the assistance of the Supervisor and/or Manufacturing Engineer.Use various gauges when required. Provide a finish in accordance with the manufacturing outline and blueprint requirements including but not limited to removal of burrs and edge breaks.Saw material as necessary.Clean and move parts as necessary.Pass an annual eye exam. Responsible for product verification and process control including using necessary measuring devices. Keep charts and records as required on completed sequences and processes.Rotate to different workstations within the cellPerform required rework, secondary operations, routine maintenance per Appendix A, and appropriate safety checks in the cell. Document all non-conformances through specified data collection procedures.Inspect work and verify that product meets all appropriate standards at each operational step in the cell.Complete all required paperwork.Ensure all material is properly cleaned, identified, protected, and stacked prior to movement.Work with internal and external customers and suppliers and participate in continuous improvement activities as required.Complete all required documentation including but not limited to operator inspection records, job routers, NCR’s, reject tags, move tickets, and stock tickets.Perform other duties as assigned by department supervisorUtilize computer to access various databases.Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: Must have previous CNC Grinding, CNC Lathe, and/or EDM experienceKnowledge:Must have basic reading and writing skillsRequires basic math skills to make necessary calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and trigonometry. Skills: Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, detail sheets, manufacturing outlines, and written instructionsMust be able to develop programs from manufacturing outlinesRequires a working knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, and selecting and dressing wheels for finish requirements.Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalentEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).Work Environment:

Hourly range: $34.12. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
