DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our 2025 Intern Rotational Program located in our Harrisburg, PA office. This position will support our surface transportation (highway, bridge, traffic, environmental, survey, and construction) departments on a variety of local and statewide transportation projects. This position will rotate through each department and can anticipate spending 2-3 weeks with each department. The selected individual will assist with technical tasks on projects, working alongside Professional Engineers, Project Managers, and other design and construction professionals in a team environment. They will learn the profession as duties are performed.
It is expected that this position will report daily to the Harrisburg, PA office located at 4431 North Front Street, 2nd Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17110, but specific intermittent schedule and location exceptions are available depending on the circumstances. No housing subsidy will be provided.

DUTIES INCLUDE
Working as a team member with various transportation departments Performing basic to moderate design and calculations Preparing basic reports Assisting with data collection, input, verification, and manipulation Performing CADD drafting Attending field visitsPROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Currently pursuing a Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering at an accredited University or College; in good academic standing; minimum of 2 years of coursework completed. Strong analytical, conceptual, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work and thrive in a team environment. Ability to self-motivate and productively work with intermittent supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office; PDF manipulation (Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam); working knowledge of CADD (MicroStation) is preferred. Valid U.S. driver’s license.COMPENSATION:
The approximate compensation range for this position is $22.00 to $23.00. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
