Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Rocket Database Engineer in Columbus, Ohio. The selected candidate will work in a dynamic environment with a strong focus on optimizing and evolving Rocket Universe-based databases. The role involves close collaboration with engineering teams, product managers, and AI-assisted development tools. Responsibilities: • Streamline database management, migration, and deployment processes. • Collaborate with diverse teams to integrate modern technologies into existing Pick-based systems. • Enhance Rocket Universe/Pick databases, focusing on performance and scalability. • Utilize AI-assisted coding tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, and OpenAI Codex to expedite development and enhance quality. • Design and implement data models, ensuring the creation of robust and efficient data structures. • Drive the automation of various database-related tasks. • Work towards the modernization of legacy systems whilst ensuring stability and performance.
