Description:
Hire Resolve’s client, a reputable mining company is seeking a Rock Engineer Superintendent to join their mining team based in the Northern Cape. As a Rock Engineer Superintendent, you will be responsible for designing and implementing rock support systems, conducting geotechnical assessments, and providing technical expertise to the mining team.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement rock support systems for underground mining operations Conduct geotechnical assessments to evaluate ground conditions Provide technical guidance and support to the mining team Monitor ground conditions and recommend appropriate measures Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards Collaborate with other departments to optimize mine design and planning Mentor and train junior rock engineers

Requirements:

Grade 12 BSc Degree in Mining/Geology/BTech in Mining Engineering Strata Control Certificate (Chamber Of Mine) Rock Mechanics Certificate (Chamber Of Mine) 5 years’ experience as a Strata Control Officer within the mining industry 2 years’ experience as a Rock Engineer/Supervisory role.
