Robotics Software Engineer, Amazon Robotics

Amazon Robotics is building a new foundational system which will transform warehouse robotics. The system integrates multiple custom robots into a cohesive and highly efficient solution. The team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to help us build and scale this robotic system across the fulfillment network.
The ideal candidate is passionate about software development and has a track record of designing and implementing new products and features using cloud technologies ( preferably AWS) and software deployed at the edge. They have seen their solutions deployed at scale in live environments. They are a hands-on expert, with a deep and broad knowledge of software tools and complex algorithm development.
Key job responsibilities
This is a brand new system which is a critical priority for the Robotics organization. As a key member, you will:
* Work across teams to design and develop metrics and data infrastructure connecting our robotic systems to the cloud
* Develop and test software changes on robotic equipment in the lab
* Develop queries, data visualizations, and tooling for accessing data generated by our robotic systems
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to define feature requirements and see the impact of your products in the field

The Vulcan Stow organization is operationalizing a next-generation robotic solution to automate complex tasks in Amazon's fulfillment centers. Our team builds infrastructure and tooling for collection and display of metrics and debug telemetry to support other Vulcan Stow teams in this mission.
