CNC Operators (Robotic Technicians) are tasked with the setup, maintenance, and operation of robotic welding equipment. These technicians play a vital role in the fabrication of metallic components or assemblies through welding facilitated by robotic machinery. Operators utilize a teach pendant to program the robotic welding system, which allows for the integration of new programs, modification of process parameters, and manipulation of the robotic arm.
Work Experience
- Read and understand control codes for articulated robots for robotic welding.
- Enable operation of articulated robots using a controller.
- Locate articulated robot arms to X, Y, Z as requested.
- Solve simple problems related to errors such as wrong arm location and setting new locations.
- Experience with OTC, Nachi, Kawasaki, and Yaskawa is a plus.
- Perform production duties to produce and assemble quality products.
- Follow all applicable procedures, instructions, and inspection plans.
- Maintain a clean worksite through daily housekeeping.
- Communicate problems to coordinators and team leaders as required.
- Rotate positions on the lines as requested by team leader, supervisor, or specialist.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams.
- Prioritize safety in all duties performed.
- Able to consistently move objects over 40 lbs from A to B.
- Perform other jobs assigned by team leaders.
- Strong willingness to learn.
