Roadway/Highway Engineer FDOT

As part of our team, you’ll work on large-scale infrastructure projects and apply your roadway and highway design expertise to serve transportation initiatives across Florida, including FDOT (Districts 2 and 3). You’ll tackle complex challenges, analyze innovative solutions using industry standards, and receive guidance to enhance your technical growth. Project opportunities may include highway interchange design, roadway expansion projects, transit-related infrastructure, federal lands projects, and local road improvements. You’ll collaborate with industry-leading engineers and project managers, gaining valuable experience while working directly with our clients. We want you to be empowered to deliver innovative solutions that enhance everyday mobility and infrastructure. * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering * Minimum 4 years of professional experience in roadway design and geometrics * Previous experience working on Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), County, or Municipal projects * Strong proficiency in Civil 3D or MicroStation/OpenRoads Ideally, You’ll Also Have: * Professional Engineer (PE) License * FDOT (Districts 2 and 3) experience * Prior experience on local, state, and/or federal transportation projects * Strong mathematical, analytical, and time management skills * Experience in roadway design, including horizontal and vertical alignments, and development of roadway components for construction plans Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
