Job Summary
The RN - Wound Care specializes in providing expert care for patients with acute and chronic wounds. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing evidence-based wound care treatments while educating patients and families on proper wound care techniques. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, ensuring optimal healing outcomes and preventing complications.

Qualifications
2-4 years of clinical nursing experience involving direct patient care required Prior experience in wound care or related specialty preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of wound care principles, including treatment techniques and wound healing processes. Proficiency in assessing and documenting wound characteristics and implementing evidence-based interventions. Strong communication and teaching skills to educate patients, families, and staff. Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans. Knowledge of infection prevention protocols and safety standards. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex wound care cases. Organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage patient care effectively.Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required BCLS - Basic Life Support required Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse preferred WCC - Wound Care Certified preferred
