**About The Job:**
We are a bridge between hospital and home for patients that are unable to discharge directly home due to therapy needs, extended antibiotics, wound care needs, or IV medications. Our staff care for patients with a multitude of illnesses and needs, some of which include:
_Post op Hip Surgery,_ _Post op Back surgery,_ _Post op Knee surgery,_ _Tube_ _feedings,_ _IV antibiotics,_ _Tracheostomy,_ _Anticoagulation therapy,_ _CVA’s,_ _Wound Care,_ _TPN, and t_ _hose needing therapy due to extended illness and weakness._
**What You Will Do:**
+ Be the patients' advocate, encourager, and cheerleader.
+ Be responsible for daily assessments, medication administration, overseeing the work of the Nursing Assistants, and providing hands on care.
+ Bepart of an interdisciplinary team ensuring the patient gets the best care possible.
+ Our patientsarewith us about two weeks. Some patients are with us longer than two weeks, and some have brief stays.
**What We Are Looking For:**
**Education:**
+ Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa or qualified multi-state license required.
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
**Experience:**
+ Previous experience in an acute or skilled nursingsetting **preferred.**
**Special Skills and Competencies:**
+ Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.
+ Self-motivated, detail oriented individual able to work with minimum supervision.
