Responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care.

Role Specific Responsibilities

Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needsEstablish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patient and familiesAssesses, plans, implements, and evaluates an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.Provide in health teaching and counseling to promote, attain, and maintain the optimum health level of patientsDemonstrate ability to use clinical judgment in conjunction with critical thinking to recognize, act upon, and report changes in patient condition.Complete, accurate and timely documentation in patient medical recordProvide input into the development of policies and procedures to support patient safety and quality of careSupervision and delegation responsibilities of licensed practical nurse and/or unlicensed assistant personnelServe as an advocate for the patient by communicating and collaborating with other health service professionalsTimely completion of required education, competencies, and licensure.
