Department: General Medical Surgical Unit, Cardiac, Pulmonology, GI, Urology, General Surgery, some Post Op, Stroke, Dementia, Infectious Disease

Status: Full Time, 36 hrs. per week

Shift: Night Shift, (7pm-7am- self-scheduling with rotating weekends)

Patient Ratio: 5:1

We are a certified STEMI and STROKE facility.  It is fast-paced and being proactive is the best way to complete your tasks.

\n

Growth and Learning Opportunities: Educational classes (RQI, IV class, CLABSI, CHARGE NURSE to name a few), accommodate school schedules, have skills fair, continuing education.

We are not a specialty unit; we need to know a little about a lot of medical problems.  In Med Surg, we see it all, we get to have a relationship with our patients as well as help in their health journey, we care for everyone and in doing so create a good, trusting healthcare experience.  We work hard to grow our team to achieve their career goals.

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.

What You'll Do

\n\nYou, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.\nBuilding relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.\nAs a Registered Nurse you are creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.\nAs an RN, will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.\nWork with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.\nYou'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.\nYou, as an RN will achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth. Contribute to peers' development, show community service commitment.\n\n

What Will Make You Successful In The Registered Nurse Role

\n\nA deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.\nKnow nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in your area. Qualifications

\n\nGrad of an Accredited Program\nSpecialized field of study should be nursing.\nA current and valid nursing license.\nMust have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.\n
