Join us and discover why Modern Healthcare Magazine named us in its “Top 100 Places to Work.” Overview: Level 2 OB unit consisting of RN's, cross-trained for L&D and Mother-Baby, and OBT's that function as nurse tech and a surgical tech. A collaborative combination of Obstetricians and Certified Nurse Midwives specialize in a wide variety of patient care; from low intervention, natural childbirth to high-risk labor and delivery care. We staff 2 operating rooms located within the unit that are capable of doing cesarean sections, D&C's, and hysterectomies. We have 24/7 anesthesia coverage for epidural and surgery needs. Our ratios are based on patient acuity and are typically 1:1-2. Nurses are required to have NRP, taught by OB and NICU staff; and fetal heart monitoring classes are recommended every 2 years. Qualifications: Education: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Experience: 1 year of RN experience Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
