Amergis Staffing is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for Labor & Delivery (L&D) assignments in Nantucket, MA!

 

Position Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks (+ability to extend)

Number of Openings: 3

Start Date: 3/10 or 3/24

Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 36 (3×12’s) or 48 (4×12’s) / Nights or D/N Rotation

*Will work every OTHER weekend

**Housing is Provided!**

 

Setting:

Small regional hospital on the island of Nantucket

 

Position Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of recent RN Labor & Delivery and/or Postpartum experience Active MA RN license BLS, ACLS, and NRP (AHA)

The Labor and Delivery nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the L&D Setting.  The Labor and Delivery nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. 

 

The labor and delivery nurse works with Mothers during the final stages of pregnancy helping with birthing, monitoring the Mother’s vital signs, and becoming astute in signs and symptoms of possible complications.  The labor and delivery nurse is involved in patient education and addressing the psychosocial needs of Mothers after delivery and demonstrates critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care.  Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse license within the state of practice. One year of Labor and Delivery clinical experience within the last three years preferred.
