Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.

Reports to (position): Nurse Director, Administrative Director, Clinical Coordinator Supervises (position(s): Patient Care Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Nurse Intern, Unit Coordinator, Patient Safety Assistant

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

Required: All hires after September 1, 2020 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.  Preferred:

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

Required: At least one to two years Med/Surg RN experience. Preferred: Previous ICU experience.
License, Registry or Certification: Required: Current NJ RN licensure and American Heart Association CPR certification. Preferred: Certification in specialty.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

Required: Certified in ACLS, Critical Care, Vent and Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation upon hire. Stroke training is required within 1 year of hire. Preferred: CCRN is recommended.
