Patient Population: Medical and Surgical, Trauma, Neuro, Sepsis, Cardiac, Vascular

Patient Ratios: 1:2

Number of Beds: 16 beds

Department Specifics: Daily shift team huddle and shift reports, bedside shift reporting, purposeful rounding, multi-disciplinary rounding, provide clinical support to different departments (Code Team, Rapid Response Team, Staff Training and Education, Floating), Diversity and Inclusion projects, Unit Based Employee of the Month, Birthday celebration and more, Unit Practice Council, Clinical Practice Council.

What Will Make You Successful In The Role

\n\nA deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards, as well as procedures.\nKnow nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines in your area. Understand hospital procedures and rules.\nProficiency in medical terms, focusing on health, disease prevention, management, common meds, and their side effects.\nRespect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights.\nExceptional communication skills, allowing for clear expression of thoughts both verbally and in writing.\nPositive social skills to facilitate interactions with a diverse range of parties.\nExcellent problem-solving capabilities, driving effective critical thinking.\nBasic computer skills, encompassing areas such as Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.\n\n

Qualifications

\n\nGrad of an Accredited Program\nSpecialized field of study should be nursing.\nA current and valid nursing license.\nMust have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.\n
