POSITION SUMMARY This position will float among all units within the Maternal Child division to provide safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Administers Medications according to standard nursing practice. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education Associate degree in nursing or equivalent
Minimum Experience 2 years recent nursing practice experience in any Women’s Service’s specialty areas, including but not limited to labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, neonatal, and/or NICU.
Required Registration/License/Certification Alabama Board of Nursing License ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of hire date BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire date AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within 90 days of hire date NRP must be obtained within 90 days of hire date
Preferred Education Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
Preferred Experience Recent hospital nursing practice experience in all Women’ Services specialty areas including labor and delivery, postpartum, antenatal, neonatal, and NICU, highly preferred.
