As an RN at Lodi Community Hospital, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM - 7:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Prioritize nursing care for assigned patients based on assessment data and identified needs using critical thinking skills. Assess urgent and emergent health conditions and monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patient condition. Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient condition. Recognize and report abnormal clinical results to physician. Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by responses and conditions. Delegate and supervise nursing care to associate staff members in accordance with the identified needs of the patients, employee capabilities and workload. Administer medications, pain management and treatments as needed Document data related to patients care, including medical history, assessment results, interventions, medications, patient responses or treatment changes. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Advocate for and provide emotional support to patients and family. Instruct patients, families and others on topics such as health education, disease prevention and care, and discharge instructions. Prepare patients for and assist with examinations and treatments. Assumes Charge Nurse duties as needed, including leading/participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, utilization review preauthorization of patients and clinical reviews and performance improvements.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
