Kettering Health Dayton, formerly Grandview Medical Center, has been providing care to Dayton and surrounding communities for over 90 years.Over 20 specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular, surgery, and trauma services.KH Dayton expanded their Emergency Department as well as their heart & vascular services to include an additional catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab.Partners with Gem City Market to provide fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday within the hospital. One of the largest osteopathic teaching hospitals in the United States.371 bed facilityOver the past several years, KH Dayton has received many awards, including: Top 100 HospitalPatient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades in 2019.Received an “A” from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States.

 

Responsibilities & Requirements

Reporting to the Director of the Cardiac Service Line, your mission as Endoscopic Clinical Nurse Manager is to create and facilitate a proactive approach in meeting the needs of the patient while effectively managing and growing your team of clinical professionals.

Skills, Knowledge, Education & Experience You Offer:

Progressive career in leadership in clinical nurse management or team leadership, with current experience leading a large team in  Endoscopy - Five years or more tenure is requiredExceptional and influential communication skillsEnergized by working through issues, establishing goals and achieving positive results while managing new initiatives.Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered NurseBachelor’s degree or master’s (preferred), with a commitment to obtaining your BSN and potentially your Masters if this should become a requirement by a regulatory agencyBLSNational certification by the end of 1st year in positionThe Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers.The RN is accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law.Utilizing organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities.The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Health reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies, of the organization and nursing departmentsProvide administrative support throughout the practiceAssist the provider during endoscopy procedures and perform miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of the practice leader and charge nurseInterview patients, measure vital signs, and records information in patients' chartsPrepare and clean patient rooms pre and post procedureCrosstrain to perform all duties of the gastroenterology technician
