Overview: Based on your location you may be eligible for an additional relocation bonus up to **$8,000!** *some exclusions may apply The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at St. Catherine Hospital is an eight-bed ICU. We staff an intensivist 24 hours per day, we care for a wide range of patients from sepsis, COPD exacerbation, respiratory distress, pneumonia, heat failure, GI bleed, renal failure and overdose. We take care of patients with art lines, central lines, intubations, procedures and telemetry monitoring for floor patients as well. We occasionally receive over flow from the med/surg floor if they are full. We are on a mission to provide the best care for all patients, from pediatrics to geriatrics and all those in between. There is a variety of personalities on our unit because that allows us to provide the best care to each patient individually. Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Coordinator. In the role of RN Clinical Coordinator you will: + Actively support department director/manager by coordinating clinical and department activities for the unit including shift charge, department and/or service line. + Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with quality standards. + Act as liaison between physicians and patient care team. Maintain communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments. Supervise the staff; authorize work procedures and assign duties. + Provides input and recommendations to the director/manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates. + Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. + Personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. Qualifications: In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: **Education Requirements** + Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement + Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred + Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs **Experience Requirements** + One year RN experience + Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty **Licenses/Certification Requirements** + Unencumbered KS RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact + BLS from American Heart Association required **Physical Requirements** + Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) Your Connected Community: St. Catherine Hospital, located in Garden City, KS, was founded by two pioneering physicians and the Dominican Sisters.
