Cleveland Clinic Staffing Resources (CCSR) gives you the opportunity to care for patients in various Units. A Registered Nurse in our Staffing Resource department (CCSR) is responsible for understanding complicated medical histories, advanced surgical procedures, pain modalities, and nutritional support. In the Float Pool, you will work with diverse populations of patients in numerous units, departments and/or locations while learning from many of our best caregivers. **A caregiver in this position will need to commit to 4 to 6 shifts within a 6-week period including 1 to 2 weekend shifts. The RN will need to complete 1 week of orientation (Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm). This Float position will require RN to travel to our Martin North, Martin South and Tradition Hospital.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide direct nursing care. + Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. + Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions. + Administer prescribed medications and treatments. + Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. + Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. + Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification + National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH) completed within last year. + CCSR OR - 2 years current experience in OR in acute care setting + CCSR ED - 2 years current experience in ED in acute care setting + CCSR Float Pool - 1 year current experience in acute care setting including med/surg, telemetry but prefer 2 years. + CCSR AMET - Adult Medical Emergency Team - 2 years current experience in CC or ED Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Adaptable to convey their ability to adjust to new situations and challenges. + Can work harmoniously with others. + Are highly motivated and result driven.
