Under the direction of the Dean or Assistant Dean, the Adjunct Nursing Faculty (RN) is responsible for the supervision and teaching of students during the clinical placement portion of nursing courses and for assisting the student in achieving clinical course objectives. Service to the college, community, health system, and profession are integral aspects of the Adjunct Nursing Faculty (RN) role.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Nursing is preferred except in states where minimum requirement for a clinical instructor is a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age General CommentsEssential Job Details:

Technical Skills Needed/Minimum Experience/Qualifications
– BSN– Comfortable teaching and being able to work with students
– 3+ years as an RN

Candidates should be flexible
They will be placed at a location for the 10 week term
Length of Contract:
10 weeks, ability to extend each term.
Schedule:
12 hour rotations, with 4 hours of allotted grading time
Hours/Week (Paid/Unpaid Lunch):
2, 12 hour rotations
4 hours of grading time allotted
28 hours in total
Position Details (Age group, Caseload, Duties):
– Working with 8 Students
– Students are in their 2nd / 3rd term of Nursing School and are green
– Facilities include SNFs and LTCs
– RNs need to feel comfortable teaching Nursing Basics to new students
Feedback Time:
1-2 days
Interview Process:
Interview with Academic Dean and Director of Nursing
Interview consists of Questions as well as a Teaching demonstration
Pay Rate:
$60 – $65 HR
