60% FTE, day shift position. Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00AM - 5:00PM. No weekends and no holiday rotation. Hours may vary based on operational needs of department. The main office is located at University Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: 

Work together to meet the needs of patients and families, to promote healing, and to improve quality of life.  Collaborate as a key resource for patients, staff, and providers for wound, ostomy, continence, and skin care. Establish goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers. Join a team of specialists treating many types of chronic and hard-to-heal wounds.  Conditions may include complex wounds, non-healing surgical wounds, pressure injuries and ulcers, traumatic wounds, wounds associated with leg swelling or related to slow blood flow to lower extremities.  Utilize advanced wound treatments such as advanced tissue products, compression wraps, laser scar treatment, specialized dressings, surgical debridement, vacuum-assisted wound closure. Work on a great team that serves patients across multiple services throughout the hospital and/or ambulatory setting.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

6 months of relevant clinical nursing experience Required Specific to EP Lab- Previous moderate sedation experience Required Additional years of relevant clinical nursing experience Preferred Prior involvement in clinical procedures in area of specialty, including successful work or involvement in other hospital-wide project work Preferred Experience in an academic medical setting Preferred Specific to Gastro/Endo & Generations - Previous moderate sedation experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required Certification in area of specialty Preferred
