As an RN (License Pending) at RML Specialty Hospital, you will deliver compassionate, individualized care to adult and geriatric patients under the guidance of the Nursing Director or Manager. Utilizing the nursing process, you’ll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while ensuring continuity and compliance with RML standards and policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesExemplify RML’s Core Values (STAIRS) in all interactions and provide a positive patient experience.Manage comprehensive care for assigned patients, performing assessments, responding to emergencies, and monitoring treatment outcomes.Document patient progress in Meditech, ensuring clear communication with team members.Collaborate with Patient Care Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, and other disciplines on individualized patient care plans.Support patient and family readiness for discharge, coordinating necessary education and interventions.Guide and supervise PCTs and LPNs, providing clear direction and support throughout each shift.Maintain confidentiality, uphold patient rights, and adhere to safety, infection control, and HIPAA protocols.Skills & AbilitiesAnalytical skills to assess patient conditions and apply the nursing process.Interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and team members.Physical ability to perform continuous standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling.Ability to perform under pressure in stressful or emergency situations.Technical proficiency with high-technology equipment and computers.Teamwork orientation for collaborative, patient-centered care.Knowledge & ExperienceDocumented competence from references based on nursing education and experience.Preferred experience with acute hospital care, particularly with complex patients, ventilator management, wound care, acute rehab, or critical care.License & CertificationsDiploma, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.Illinois RN license: NCLEX completion, application submission, and fee payment per Nurse Practice Act.CPR certification required; ACLS and Bachelor’s degree preferred.Working ConditionsWork is performed in a patient care environment, requiring adherence to hospital attire and safety policies.Bonus:
