The OHSU registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities and patient populations. The RN’s care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics and meets the standards/expectations of a Professional Practice Model. In that model, the RN demonstrates the professional role obligations of scientist, leader, practitioner, and knowledge transferor. Professional accountability enriches the RN’s engagement as a leader in promoting an inter-professional culture of collaborative decision-making, innovation, life-long learning, and teamwork. 

Function/Duties of Position

$59.94- $91.19 per hour, based on experience

 

The Ambulatory Infusion Clinics provide infusion and injection services to patients referred from a variety of specialties including Rheumatology, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology and other non-oncology service lines. The infusion staff work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidenced-based, patient centered nursing care. There are 6 ambulatory non-oncology infusion chairs at the Center for Health & Healing and 10 infusion chairs at Immunology infusion Physicians Pavilion. They are open Monday to Friday.  

 

 

Work assignment could be scheduled at either location depending on staffing needs. Rotate into other assignments (conditional based on appropriate training.)   Required Qualifications External applicants- BSN required. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English. Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools. Previous Experience in ambulatory or infusion. Minimum two years of nursing experience with acutely ill patients Current unencumbered Oregon RN license.BLS from the American Heart Association.Valid driver's license.Completion of Infusion Nursing Society Fundamentals of Infusion therapy (FIT) modules certification during orientation period Record, track, and assign duties and processes to ensure appropriate billing and revenue generation, when applicable. Ability to effectively communicate within a multidisciplinary team.   Preferred Qualifications Current OHSU employees: BSN preferredPrevious infusion experience preferred. CRNI INS Membership preferred At least 1-2 years of hospital nursing experience with direct patient care. Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools. Recent Experience working in ambulatory infusion.    Certified Nurse Infusion certification. IV access proficiency.   Experience working with Central Lines, Port-a-cath.   Additional Details
