RN, Director of Nursing (DON), 5000 Bonus

Allina Health Restorative Suites, a state-of-the-art 50-bed transitional and restorative care campus in Plymouth, MN, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to lead our team as the Director of Nursing (DON)!  We're dedicated to redefining patient care during transitions, combining clinical excellence with a hospitality-focused environment. 

In this role, you will supervise licensed nurses and other staff, ensuring the delivery of top-tier care.  You will also manage our units in accordance with facility philosophy and compliance with standards of professional standards of nursing practice and health department regulations. For your commitment and dedication, you will receive a $5,000 Bonus!

This is a Full-Time position working Monday - Friday including on-call responsibilities. No Weekends!

Director of Nursing (DON) responsibilities:

Monitor TCU nursing staff for correct application of standards of care.Facilitate interdepartmental communication to meet resident’s needs.Monitor staff for any education they may need and participate in the teaching if necessary.Facilitate conflict management while respecting diversity of people, their strengths and ideas.Set standards to ensure a high level of customer service.Offer clinical support or assistance when needed.Participate as member of IDT.Support and participate in all new strategic initiatives for TCU.Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team in development of plan of care for each resident.Meet with new patient and or family members within 48 hours of arrival.Complete MDS and Care Plans.Complete employee evaluations in a timely manner.Audit clinical records to identify problems, to ensure timely responses to residents needs and to evaluate documentation for regulatory compliance.Review all incident reports and follow facility protocols in completion of documentation.Assure all admission and discharge assessments and documentation are completed weekly and audits for accuracy.Director of Nursing (DON) personal care functions responsibilities:Facilitate all documentation for admits, discharges and transfers residents to and from TCU.Introduce yourself to each resident on admission (or soon after) and explain your role.Analyze data gathered during rounds and report any area of concern before they arise.Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities as directed.Make prompt attempts to resolve all resident grievances, seeking consultation or assistance from other departments or administration.Communicate difficulty meeting resident’s needs and maintaining regulatory compliance promptly to the Director of Nursing.Participate in the State Survey process.Maintain ongoing communication with other disciplines to evaluate resident’s responses to interventions, and suggest alternative approaches when indicated.Facilitate interdepartmental communication to meet resident’s needs.Adjust own work schedule to maintain direct contact with and to evaluate performance of nursing staff on all three shifts.Meet with and make rounds with the TCU Medical Director as needed.Director of Nursing (DON) skills and requirements:Must have a current MN Registered Nurse (RN) license and be in good standing. Current CPR Certification.3-5 years of experience as a nurse supervisor in a skilled health care facility required.Demonstrated leadership qualities.Must be able to walk and stand more than half of the day, must be able to pull, lift, carry, and push.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more. Benefits:Competitive wages with credit for experiencePaid Time Off (PTO)Retirement Plan with employer matchHealthcare, dental, health savings, vision, life, disability, & flex spending optionsEmployer paid Basic Life Insurance for Full-Time Employees Employee Discount ProgramCollaborative and Inclusive Work CultureEmployee Assistance Program with free confidential counseling/coaching for self and family members
