The Registered Nurse working as a member of the Diagnostic Imaging team provides service to patients in all Imaging modalities, including sedation services. Patient populations include: ambulatory patients, day patients, inpatients, and patients at off-site locations. Includes pre and post procedure care for patients in: Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, General Radiology/Fluoroscopy, Mammography and PET/CT. Imaging departments are currently located at OHSU Marquam campus, KPV, PPV, SJH, DCH, CHH, and off site clinics (currently Beaverton off-site campus). There is no specific RN to patient ratio. Staffing need is dynamic and may change during and/or between shifts. The Diagnostic Imaging RN is expected to practice in accordance with professional standards and core values, maintains a current knowledge base relevant to area of practice, governing agencies, and models a commitment to service excellence. Care is provided to patients of all ages.

Required Qualifications BSN Graduates: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date.ADN Graduates: Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date. Associate degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hireInternal ONA applicants: Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferredCurrent, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse LicenseBLS at time of hire and must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS must not expire during orientation Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

Department Specific Requirements:
• Minimum of two years of experience in critical care, ED, procedural, pre/post, or radiology nursing.
• A minimum score of 11/18 on OHSU's Nurse Interview Evaluation Tool.
• Current IV placement experience
• Must be able to travel by Aerial Tram between Marquam Hill and CHH location

Preferred Qualifications

Department Specific Preferences:
• ARIN Certification (Association for Radiologic and Imaging Nursing)
• Cardiac nursing experience, understanding of ECG rhythm and interpretation
• Cardiac imaging procedure experience (medication administration and monitoring)
• Procedural Sedation experience
• Current experience with central line evaluation and maintenance (port access/de-access, PICC, etc.)
• Experience with Diagnostic Imaging pre-, intra, and post-procedure care requirements.

Length of Orientation:
• Experienced in Specialty: 3-6 weeks
• Experienced, but not in Specialty Area: 4-8 weeks
