River Dock Worker/Equipment Operator
**Responsibilities & Duties:** Responsibilities of the position includes operation of front-end loader to maintain the flow of materials and product; barge loading and unloading; utilizing skid steer; general plant cleanup; maintains conveyor systems, and other duties as assigned by management. This is a dynamic position that gains exposure to all areas of our operations, based on the business need. This position will have the opportunity to learn how to perform plant operations and maintenance as well as loading and unloading barges. All positions are considered safety sensitive. + Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50+ lbs. + Ability to walk/step between barges and docks on the waterway + Ability to tolerate exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor conditions + The availability to work 12-hour day or/and evening and weekend shifts, from approximately 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. + Troubleshooting experience + Use of mobile equipment + Basic understanding of preventative maintenance + Experience with mechanical equipment maintenance + Understanding of safety aspects (PPE, Confined Space Entry Permits, LOTO, etc) **Work Environment:** The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. + Constant or intermittent exposure to noise, dust, vibration, and irritating atmospheres at or around operating sites. + Exposed frequently to existing weather conditions. + Lift, carry, push, pull and/or move 50 pounds maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds + Repetitive and continuous work. **Job Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalency degree + Valid Driver’s License + Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and physical + Proven record of safe work habits + Passing score on entry level qualifying exam **Pay Rate & Benefits** + $31.89/hour base + Any employee may earn three (3) additional skill premiums of fifty cents ($0.50) per hour (for a total $1.50 per hour) + Pension contribution to OE Pension Plan after probation + Eligible for OT + Group medical/pharmacy insurance options + Dental and Vision insurance + Company-paid life insurance and short-term and long-term disability insurance + Options to purchase additional life insurance coverage and additional employee long-term disability insurance + Option to contribute to a 401K account + Company Paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP) + A robust Wellness program with financial rewards + Employee referral program READY TO JOIN A ROCK-SOLID FAMILY?
