What You'll Do
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Team is dedicated to developing and implementing a strategy for identifying and managing significant risk exposures at BCG. The function aligns itself with the internal staff at BCG where each office, internal function, Managing Director and Partner (MDP), and all employees bear the responsibility for managing risk at the firm.
The ERM team assists the dispersed owners of the risks to self-discover, analyze, and improve management processes and controls around risk. Working with other stakeholders, the function is also the important catalyst and discussion partner with respect to broader BCG enterprise risk topics, including, but not limited to, areas of contracting and client matters, confidentiality, HR, IT, legal, and compliance topics including, anti-bribery and corruption, KYC, supplier management, information management, insider trading, conflicts of interest, information security, and data privacy, etc.
In this risk management position you will be working closely with the Enterprise Risk Management team covering the various aspects of enterprise risk at BCG. You will learn about risks that BCG as a global organization faces on a day-to-day basis as well as how our team identifies and prioritizes those risks. Finally, you will learn about actions we take to mitigate enterprise risk through different initiatives and cultural change.
You will get hands on experience on major initiatives as well as smaller ongoing analyses we conduct to manage risk at BCG while working with a team of international colleagues and internal customers. Additionally, you will learn about cross-functional project collaboration and teaming in a complex global corporation.
YOU’RE GOOD AT

This individual will be assisting the team in planning for and conducting various risk related initiatives (gathering and analyzing data, creating presentations, conducting surveys, providing research, and reporting out on all findings etc.)Superior verbal and written communication skills (e.g. assisting the team to draft various communications, presentations)Strong data analytical skills and attention to detail (e.g., working with large sets of data, analyzing and summarizing the results for various audiences using different means of communications)Opened minded individual who isn't afraid to offer their suggestions, opinion or perspective (e.g., provide the team with thoughts and perspective on how we could improve our process/procedures).What You'll Bring
Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in Northeastern University and approved by the university to participate in the 2025 co-op cycleExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPointExperience with data analytics (e.g. use of pivot tables, vlookup, macros in Excel) and ability to synthesize data into key outputs for leadership. Experience with Tableau is a plusInterest in Enterprise Risk ManagementAbility to adapt and prioritize with a a changing workloadStrong interest in international business, cultures and learning how business practices vary around the world (e.g., researching countries for changes to business landscape). This role will include working with a team of international colleagues and internal customers. This role will support the Enterprise Risk Management team (approximately 7 individuals) and will require frequent interaction with all members of the team, including those who are located in different geographies and time zones. We are excited to teach co-ops about the many aspects of Risk Management, from our philosophy and approach to hands on learning of the risk management process.
