Risk Management - Asset Based Lending Credit Risk, Executive Director

As an Asset Based Lending Credit Risk Director in the Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries Group, you will lead the credit risk management team across the South East segment. You will play a crucial role in shaping the risk strategy, fostering a collaborative culture, and driving business growth while maintaining a strong risk management framework. Your work will have a significant impact on our clients and the wider community.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the credit risk team across multiple geographies and markets. Develop and execute strategic vision for the ABL Credit Risk function. Oversee credit risk assessment and management for the ABL portfolio. Collaborate with banking management and partners to analyze and approve credit requests. Structure credit facilities and negotiate credit agreements. Conduct thorough client due diligence and ensure consistent transaction negotiations. Monitor portfolio performance and identify potential risks. Drive innovation and process improvements within the credit risk function. Participate in client meetings and develop external partnerships. Ensure compliance with credit risk policies and regulatory requirements.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

At least 15 years of commercial lending experience. Strong expertise in credit risk management and asset-based lending. Superior skills in credit, corporate finance, negotiation, and loan documentation. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Proven leadership experience in managing and developing teams. Completion of a major corporate or investment bank credit training program or equivalent experience. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Experience with middle-market companies and leveraged private equity-owned businesses. Advanced degree in finance, accounting, mathematics/modeling, or economics. Ability to operate independently with minimal managerial direction. Strong track record of influencing stakeholders and driving change.
