Lockheed Martin is seeking candidates desiring new skillsets, willing to transform processes, dive into analyses to solve challenges and grow. Our risk management analysts provide comprehensive support for Lockheed Martin's corporate insurance programs and offers general risk management assistance to the Corporate Headquarters and Business Areas. The position is based in Bethesda, MD, at the Lockheed Martin Corporate Headquarters, and reports to the Director, Aviation & Space Insurance in the Corporate Risk Management department.

Candidates should expect to engage with team two days a week at the office for collaboration, training, meetings w/alliance partners and internal stakeholders. Potential for some travel related to renewals or site visit.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support multiple lines of insurance within the department, providing key assistance to Directors and Managers on all insurance matters
• Collaborate with program managers to collect, organize, and summarize renewal data, creating presentations as needed
• Assist in preparing applications, underwriting submissions, and renewal presentations for major lines of insurance
• Prepare reports for Lockheed Martin management and support Directors and Managers in meetings and negotiations with carriers
• Review policies to ensure compliance with negotiated terms and prepare insurance summaries and communications for business units
• Coordinate the reporting and handling of insurance claims, including internal and external processes
• Identify and assess risks throughout the Corporation and participate in efforts to implement additional insurance types or levels
• Assist the Risk Management Information System analyst with data collection and management
• Maintain the corporation's insurance policy library, ensuring document accuracy and completeness
• Participate in crisis response processes and coordinate with other groups on insurance and risk issues as needed
• Act as a backup for processing invoices and arranging payments on insurance programs

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate risk management, insurance, or related fields
• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field
• Basic business acumen with a focus on insurance or finance
• Flexibility and ability to accept different responsibilities across multiple lines of insurance
Desired Skills:
• 5 years of experience in corporate risk management or insurance
• Strong familiarity with insurance concepts, including property and casualty insurance programs
• Experience or technical expertise in multi-line insurance policies and claims, including related loss processing and claims management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint demonstrating analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with different functions across the company

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $73,800 - $130,180. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
