Role description:
We are looking for a Risk Engineer / Manager to join our Nuclear Consultancy business and work on some of the UK’s largest Nuclear projects.
Working closely with project and programme teams to implement effective risk management processes, ensuring full integration with project and programme management and control disciplines.
As part of our Programme and Project Management team, you’ll help deliver some of the biggest, most iconic projects imaginable, with some of the best talent around. With your energy, agility, and a keen eye for detail, you’ll deliver transformational outcomes for multiple clients.
Role accountabilities:
Providing risk expertise and advice on risk and contingency management (in accordance with procedures) into sites, projects and programmes; Facilitation of risk management process including facilitation of risk and assumption workshops across programmes & sites to ensure quality risks are identified, properly documented and reviewed regularly Develop the project/programme/site risk and assumption registers Run Project Risk Analysis software in conjunction with Primavera P6 Provide a Schedule Quantitative Risk Analysis (SQRA) service to the project / programme Conduct risk identification and analysis and develop mitigation plans with relevant risk owners and risk managers, to ensure the Site / programme Risk Register is up to date at all times. Ensure Risk management processes are effectively embedded into programme / site management arrangements Compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments. Support the continuous improvement of Health, Safety Environment and Quality on Site. Ensure regular review and update of the project risk register is carried out. Facilitate reviews where necessary. Analyse project risks and impacts and make recommendations. Actively monitor progress with mitigation activities. Ensure information is fed into risk registers;Additional responsibilities would include travel to sites across Bridgwater and / or Bristol circa twice per week.
Qualifications & Experience:
A relevant professional qualification or equivalent, demonstrable Risk experience Membership of a relevant professional body (desired) Good Risk Management System knowledge (E.g. ARM/Pertmaster) Broad working knowledge of nuclear and conventional plant operation and maintenance.
