Role/ Department:

This role will be a key member of the EMEA Corporate Risk team based in London reporting to the EMEA Head of Financial Risk. The successful candidate will be experienced in both financial risk management and prudential regulation, working closely with the EMEA Prudential Risk Manager on the EMEA prudential risk programme of work.
 

This role requires participation in relevant corporate, regional, and local committees to support good governance and effective challenge; and ensuring that relevant legal entity prudential assessments are sufficiently robust.

The successful candidate will be expected to keep up to date with regulatory developments and policy changes issued by both European and UK regulatory authorities.
 

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Supporting the EMEA Prudential Risk Manager with risk input into EMEA Legal Entity ICAAPs, ICARAs and Capital plans. Scope of activities include:Production of ICAAP & ICARA risk assessments and ensuring underlying methodologies are fit for purpose.Execution of Pillar 2 capital assessments (credit risk and operational risk).Execution of Scenario planning (Event Driven Scenario and Reverse Stress Testing).Presentation of ICAAP and ICARA results alongside the EMEA Finance team, to relevant Legal Entity Risk Committees and Boards.Supporting the Prudential Risk Manager with the quarterly capital modelling of operational risk scenarios for key EMEA entities and ascertain knowledge of the regional operational risk capital model.Attending relevant governance committees as a prudential risk consultant for the region.Providing risk input into EMEA Legal Entity Recovery plans.Monitoring, identifying the impact and responding to prudential regulatory change for EMEA Legal Entities.Where required, opportunities to provide support to the EMEA Financial Risk Team on credit, liquidity, and market risk management activities.

Skills/ Experience:

The successful candidate will benefit from having: 

Direct experience in the Financial Services industry (3+ years) and a broad understanding of financial marketsKnowledge of financial and prudential risk managementExperience in the application of various prudential regimes and regulatory requirementsInterpretation and implementation of prudential rules with regards to ICAAP \ ICARAExperience with stress testing across capital risk managementFamiliarity with Recovery and Resolution PlanningExcellent communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to stakeholders at varying levels of seniorityStrong presentation skillsProven strong organizational and time management skillsStrong attention to detail
